Prevent Your Teeth From Grinding While You Sleep
Serving Riverton for over 20 years, Lloyd Family Dentistry provides a handful of services designed to improve your smile. If you have a habit of grinding your teeth while sleeping, we suggest you get a teeth guard that'll prevent your teeth from grinding against each other and causing damage.
There are many different types of guards that can help protect and safeguard your smile. Contact us to learn more.
Sports Guards
All children and adults who participate in contact sports should wear a mouth guard to protect their teeth against blows to the face or mouth. A properly fitted mouth guard can help prevent broken teeth and injuries to the lips, tongue, face, or jaw.
Night Time Bruxing and Grinding Guards
These protective guards can either be made from a soft plastic material or a hard acrylic. With both types of guards, the protection of your teeth is essential to help reduce tooth wear and breakage. Grinding and/or bruxing can be caused by stress or other issues in you daily life. Protect your teeth and get a better sleep each night by scheduling an appointment today for your grinding guard.
Sleep Apnea or Snoring Guards
Sleep apnea or snoring can be a real problem, not only for the person who snores, but also for the partner and other family members who live with the snorer. However, there is a dental solution for a deeper, more satisfying night’s sleep: Silent Nite® sl. This affordable device is flexible, thin and comfortable, and it exhibits documented clinical success in mitigating or even preventing the disruptive, unhealthy effects of snoring and sleep apnea.
Silent Nite sl positions the lower jaw forward using special Slide-Link connectors that are attached to upper and lower appliances. These appliances are composed of a soft inner layer with a hard outer layer that is durable and BPA-free. The Slide Link connectors hold the jaw in a therapeutic position as determined by the dentist and are easily interchangeable by the patient as the treatment progresses.
